HOW IT WORKS
Three steps. One clear commitment.
- 01
Choose an app.
Connect Screen Time and pick the app you want to make time for.
- 02
Set its allowed hours.
Describe your schedule or choose days and times yourself.
- 03
Review. Then commit.
Check the schedule before you save. Outside those hours, the app is blocked. You can edit or remove its rule only during its existing allowed hours.
How do I set up my first app?
Open Unflurry and follow the introduction. Approve Screen Time access, tap Choose your first app, and select one app in Apple’s picker. Describe when you want to use it, or tap Choose times instead. Tap Review rule, check the days and hours, then tap Set rule. To add another app later, tap Add app on the home screen.
When can I change a rule?
During the hours that rule already allows. If an app is available from 5–7 pm, you can edit or remove its rule during that same window. Save before 7 pm; opening the editor earlier does not extend the window.
What happens on days I haven’t selected?
The app stays blocked. For an overnight rule, the selected day is the day the window starts: Monday, 10 pm–2 am allows use from Monday night until Tuesday at 2 am. Check the review screen before saving.
Does Unflurry work offline?
Saved app rules and manual schedule entry work offline. Describing a schedule in your own words needs an internet connection. If interpretation is unavailable, tap Choose times instead. A failed request does not change a saved rule.
What happens when I travel?
Recurring hours follow your iPhone’s local timezone. A 5–7 pm window stays 5–7 pm in your local time. Existing rules still determine when changes can be saved.
What is deletion protection?
Turn it on to prevent deleting Unflurry outside your deletion hours, making it harder to bypass your own rules. This setting limits deletion of every app on your iPhone, including Unflurry. It starts off, and you can skip it. If enabled, deletion is allowed every day from midnight to 6 am, plus a daytime window of at least two hours. You choose its start and finish, between 6 am and midnight. Other iOS restrictions may still independently prevent deletion.
How do I delete Unflurry?
If deletion protection is off, delete Unflurry normally from your iPhone. If it is on, open App deletion in Unflurry to see your deletion hours. During either opening—midnight–6 am or your chosen daytime window—touch and hold the Unflurry icon on your Home Screen, then choose Remove App and Delete App. Remove from Home Screen only hides the icon; it does not uninstall the app.
How do I turn off deletion protection?
Open App deletion in Unflurry during its existing deletion hours, then tap Turn off protection and confirm. Changing or disabling this setting must be saved during the old opening. Turning it off allows deletion at any time, unless another iOS restriction prevents it. Your app-use rules remain separate.
Why can’t I delete another app?
Unflurry’s optional deletion protection applies to every app on your iPhone. Outside your deletion hours, you cannot delete Unflurry or another app. This does not stop those other apps from running. Your app-use hours and deletion hours are two separate schedules; allowing an app to open does not necessarily allow it to be deleted.
What if deletion is still unavailable during an opening?
Open Unflurry and check App deletion for the current status and any protection warning. Also check iPhone Settings → Screen Time → Apps & Websites → Restrictions → Deleting Apps. On earlier iOS versions, look under Content & Privacy Restrictions → iTunes & App Store Purchases → Deleting Apps. Another Screen Time app or a school or workplace management profile can independently prevent deletion. If someone else manages that restriction, contact them.
Why does Unflurry ask me to choose an app again?
Removing Screen Time permission can invalidate Apple’s private app selections. Granting permission again does not necessarily restore those selections. Open Reconnect app, select the original app, then confirm Restore rule; permission alone does not mean blocking is active.
What if an app is blocked at the wrong time?
Check the saved days and hours, your iPhone’s local time, and any other Screen Time restrictions. Open Unflurry and follow any protection or permission warning. If the problem continues, email the details below. Do not change your device clock to force an opening.
Can I revoke Screen Time access?
Yes. You control Unflurry’s Screen Time authorization in iPhone Settings. Revoking it removes Unflurry’s ability to enforce your rules. Deleting Unflurry also ends its protection; optional deletion protection may limit when deletion is available.
